Avoid Being Dropped from Your Classes for Nonpayment!

Pay your summer 2018 bill by choosing one of several payment options before the May 23 deadline, or you will be dropped from all of your registered classes for nonpayment.

The fall 2018 payment deadline is July 31.

Secure seats now for your favorite fall classes and get the class times that fit your life. If fall will be your second or third semester, visit Academic Advising to get a clear picture of the classes you need for your major and to get your normal advising registration hold removed. Learn more about mandatory advising. Don’t let the “Time for Your Program Review” message delay your registration.

Summer Session Starts May 29

The spring semester is winding down and now is the time to sign up for summer classes. If you have completed a couple of semesters and feel like you’re ready for the faster pace of shorter sessions, then sign up now. Summer classes are intense, as they cover an entire semester in a much shorter time.

Students can take up to nine summer credits. Academic advisors can help you choose courses that will work with your program of study.

Regent Scholarship

Regents Scholarship

May 11 is the deadline to apply for the Regents Scholars Program—the University System of Maryland's most prestigious scholarships for community college students. The Gross or Shipley and Weinberg scholarships cover the entire cost of in-state tuition, mandatory fees, on-campus room and board, and even a stipend to defray other academic expenses.

Regents Scholars are chosen for their demonstrated academic ability. Strong motivation, exceptional character, and a record of extracurricular accomplishments are also factors in the selection process. Several partial scholarships will also be awarded.

Get an application in the Financial Aid Office or the Advising Office. All scholarship packets must be submitted to James Spence, Assistant Director of Transfer Services.

Maryland Transfer Advantage

Maryland Transfer Advantage

Apply now for the Maryland Transfer Advantage Program (MTAP) at the University of Maryland College Park. MTAP guarantees acceptance to the university to students who complete at least 30 credits or an associate's degree with at least a 3.0 GPA, but you must apply by the priority deadline. While at CSM, students can take one course per semester at College Park at a twenty-five percent discount not to exceed nine credits.

CSM wants to help in the fight against opioid addiction. Deaths related to heroin and opioid overdose have reached epidemic proportions and are now the leading cause of death for young adults. Learn more through our Heroin and Opioid Addiction and Prevention training.

Code Green

Code Green

CSM is dedicated to decreasing energy costs and usage during the summer months, so it runs an 11-week Code Green Initiative each year. Code Green starts the week of May 21 and ends August 3. All administrative offices at the college close at 1:30 p.m. on Fridays during this time.

All classes, Kids’ and Teen College, and CSM’s St. Charles Children’s Learning Center programs operate on a normal schedule. Public Safety and Preparedness personnel also stay on campus.

Scholarship Finder

Extended Scholarship Finder Deadline!

CSM Scholarship Finder is open for the 2018-19 academic year. The application deadline has now been extended and students will be able to apply through 11:59 p.m. on June 4.
Some additional funds may be available during the summer, depending on available funding. Call 301-934-7531 for more information.

May 15: “Seeking Common Ground: An Interfaith Conversation” will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Building B, Room 105, on the Prince Frederick Campus. Learn some of the universal truths shared by all faiths.
