Congrats to the Class of Spring 2020!

The College of Southern Maryland honored 470 new graduates on Friday, May 29, with our 61 st Spring Commencement—and our first ever all-online commencement ceremony!

Our latest grads’ drive and determination kept them going through all the twists of the last few months. We couldn't be more proud.

CSM’s Class of Spring 2020: Students before, graduates now, Hawks always.

A year in review from Student Life:

CSM students can now take courses in intensive 3-week sessions, starting this summer! This new course format offers even more ways to fit your education into your life.

The 3-week session is a perfect chance to knock out your General Education courses, catch up if you’re lagging behind, or keep your momentum when you’d prefer a more compact course format.

You can find this summer’s 3-week session offerings under Summer III.

CSM Seal

We Must Do Better

Hawks, you matter. Our president, Dr. Murphy addressed us all regarding recent events in an open letter to the CSM community last week and the college is ready to do its part.

Please join us next Friday, June 5, at 1 p.m., for a Talon Talk to process our reactions and emotions in light of recent incidents of racism and racist violence, their impact on us as individuals and a community, and how we can support each other better. Event details will be shared to the student e-mail addresses on file with the college.

Transfer Opportunities at CSM

New Transfer Opportunities!

Hawks who’ve got their eye on applying the credits earned at CSM toward their bachelor’s can now take advantage of over 100 transfer opportunities at more than 50 institutions nationwide.

In recent weeks, the college has signed articulation agreements with Morgan State University (Construction Management), Frostburg State University (Accounting, Business Administration, Economics), and the University of Baltimore (BeeLine Dual Enrollment Program).

For more information on how you can get started mapping out your route from associate’s to bachelor’s and beyond, visit Transfer Services.

Hawk Feeder 2020

Hawk Feeder Care Packages: Pick Up Yours June 11

The closure of our campuses also cut off access to the Hawk Feeder micro-pantries and their contents. To make sure these items are available to the members of our community who need them, they have been bundled into care packages and supplemented with other necessities, donated by local community partners.

We will be distributing these care packages on Thursday, June 11, from 1-3 p.m. at the Regional Hughesville Campus, located at 6170 Hughesville Station Place, Hughesville, MD 20637.

We’re asking that Hawks fill out a short form to make sure we have enough care packages on hand. Please sign up no later than Wednesday, June 10. Complete pickup instructions will be provided after you submit the form.

Scholarship Opportunities
