The Math Resource Center provides a safe and inviting academic environment for CSM students to build confidence in all disciplines that speak the language of math. The mission of our staff is to collaborate with students in bringing math pieces together so their understanding of how math works and why math is important can enrich their academic goals and become life-long independent learners. This is accomplished by evaluating conceptual strengths and weaknesses so that we can provide more individualized resources to promote the success of the diverse learners attending CSM.

Attention: Due to COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) precautions, all tutoring will be online via ThinkingStorm or Zoom until further notice.

Note: These Zoom rooms are dedicated to the study groups and tutoring sessions for subjects taught at the College of Southern Maryland. All participants are expected to follow the student code of conduct at all times when interacting via this platform.

If you see or hear anything while using this virtual platform that is out of line with our values at CSM, please let one of the tutors know immediately, or e-mail

"All in all, I will definitely be frequenting the Math Resource Center on a more regular basis after this Boot Camp. Although I had been informed about it in my previous course, I felt as if I wasn’t presented with enough information. To me, it sounded more like a set of offices with set times for tutoring, not a free tutoring area with attentive instructors and calm atmosphere. I didn’t think I could fit in scheduled tutoring into my schedule. With this new information, my opinion has certainly changed."
