Your health and well-being play an important role in your college experience. Our Department provides health and wellness resources and education to promote your mental, physical and emotional health.

Campus Well by Student Health 101

Campus Well is an online health and wellness e-magazine geared specifically towards the needs and tastes of today’s college students. The magazine publishes new content each Wednesday. Each issue provides a wide range of articles and special features such as recipes and contests. Once on the site, students can sign up to receive notifications when new content appears, as well as weekly tips.

CSM is  committed to educating students about the dangers of heroin and opioid addiction. Heroin and opioid-related deaths have increased drastically in recent years and is the leading cause of death in Maryland’s young adult population.

CSM offers free access to our fitness centers and pools on all three campuses for CSM credit and non-credit continuing education students taking 45 or more hours. Just bring your OneCard to access the facilities!

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

  • Call toll-free 888-456-1324: The college’s Employee Assistance Program through Ceridian LifeWorks provides free, confidential help with personal and work-related issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call LifeWorks to speak to a consultant or visit their website at (User ID=csmd; Password=lifeworks) for additional information and assistance. Call Jen Rupp for more information, ext. 4714.

Free Smoking Cessation Classes

  • Charles County Health Department offers free 10-week sessions in April/September. Pre-registration required. Call 301-609-6932 for class details or to request a Smoking Quit Packet.
  • Mary's County Health Department offers free 8-week one-hour sessions on Tuesdays along with free medication to help you quit. Call 301-475-4330 or 301-475-4074 to enroll in class. (Upcoming Tuesday Sessions: March 14 - May 2)
  • Calvert County Health Department offers free comprehensive 8-week program. Call 410-535-5400, ext. 359 for details and registration.

Hawk Feeder food pantry

"Take what you need give what you can."

The CSM Student Association, in partnership with the President's Council, has installed micro-pantries, named Hawk Feeders, on each of CSM's four campuses to help address short-term basic needs sometimes experienced by our students and community members.
