Massage therapy can be used to help manage a health condition or enhance wellness.

This program prepares students to work as professional massage therapists in a variety of settings. Massage therapy involves the manipulation of soft tissue structure of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, and stress; to improve body function and performance; to stimulate or enhance healing and recovery; as well as to promote health and wellness.

Massage therapists are employed in a variety of settings including chiropractic offices, rehabilitation clinics, long-term care and acute care facilities, health clubs, spas, salons, as well as private practice environments.

Maryland Education Alliance with Anne Arundel Community College

This program is completed as part of the Maryland Education Alliance. More information about this innovative model is available here: www.csmd.edu/programs-courses/credit/maryland-education-alliance.

Students must be admitted to CSM and AACC, meet with CSM's Health Sciences Admission and Progression Coordinator, and complete qualifying coursework at CSM with a grade of "C" or higher and in good standing.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance

Funds may be available for eligible students through the CSM Foundation which has been made possible from generous donations from organizations and individuals who wish to provide financial assistance to our students. This workforce training certificate is also an eligible program for the Workforce Sequence Scholarship.
