Choose CSM on #GivingTuesday, December 3, 2013
Support student success in our community on #GivingTuesday! The CSM Foundation joins thousands of nonprofits across the country and the world in observance of the second annual #GivingTuesday - a first of its kind movement that celebrates a day dedicated to giving using the power of social media. Your participation will make a significant impact on our students - reaching far beyond our campus. Help us reach our goal of raising $3,000 and reaching 200 donors.
What is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a national day of generosity following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It is a day that focuses on giving to others after two days focused on shopping. Supporters of the foundation are encouraged to show their support online and make a gift that will contribute to the success of more than 27,000 CSM students. Your investment in one of the following programs will have a significant impact on the lives of our students for years to come.
- Scholarships: Providing Access to Student Success
- The Arts
- Nursing & Allied Health
- Career Starters
Ways you can participate:

Federal Employees can Support CSM through the Combined Federal Campaign
The College of Southern Maryland is an approved organization of the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA) which includes Calvert and Charles Counties and the St. Mary's County Federal Campaign (STMCFC). The campaigns give federal employees in the Washington, D.C. metro area and St. Mary's County the opportunity to designate organizations that most align with needs they feel are most important when making charitable contributions. Participating organizations must meet federal legal requirements and OPM (Office of Personnel Management) regulations to be included in the campaigns.
Federal employees who would like to designate the CSM Foundation for charitable contributions, select no. 22768 on the CFCNCA or STMCFC application. For information on the CFCNCA campaign, visit http://cfcnca.org/. For information on the SMCFC visit http://www.stmaryscountycfc.org/index.html.
OPM has extended the 2013 CFC campaign until January 15, 2014, giving federal employees more time to support their favorite charities this campaign season.
