Welcome to Department of Student Life at the College of Southern Maryland. Student life shares in the educational mission of the college to enrich our student experiences through programs, events and services designed to promote personal development, leadership skills, social and civic engagement in today's competitive world. Involvement in extra-curricular and/or co-curricular activities is an important component in becoming a well-rounded student at any college. Staff and faculty at the college believe student involvement in activities that complement classroom learning play an important role in the learning process. As a result, you can expect to develop a greater understanding of and increased competence in leadership, organizational techniques, and interpersonal communication. You can also develop your knowledge and skills in an array of topics or areas that appeal to you.
Students can find a student life office at the La Plata, Leonardtown, and Prince Frederick campus. The Office of Student Life at the La Plata campus houses and manages student life initiatives at the Waldorf campus.
