Career and Technical Education

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) program allows students to earn college credits through a sequence of academic and technical coursework while still enrolled in high school.

Students successfully completing a CTE program in High School may receive articulated credits which are applicable to designated letters of recognition, certificates and associate of applied science degrees in a career field at CSM at no cost! Note: Articulated CTE credits typically do not transfer to other colleges and universitiesthey apply toward the CSM programs listed on this website.

The CTE program is a great way for high school students to jump start a college career, technical education certificate, or degree program. You may combine CTE articulated credits with CSM’s Dual Enrollment program to get ahead in college and save money!

The CTE program was started by the U.S. Department of Education through the Perkins Grant.
