The Student Government Association (SGA) exists to give CSM Students a voice in the administrative affairs of the college, particularly in those areas that affect the students' academics and social programming. The SGA represents the College of Southern Maryland student populous as a whole. It is comprised of members from the Student Association (SA) chapters at each campus.
The SGA, advised by the Vice-President & Dean of Instructional and Support Services, has principal responsibility for the oversight of the Student Government Association and the three campus Student Associations, as well as establishing policies and student regulations for the allocation of student activities funds collected through the student activity fee.
The voting membership of the SGA is comprised of each campus SA President, in addition to two at-large campus student representatives appointed by each campuses' SA Executive Board.
However, all registered students are members of the SGA.
For more information on the SGA and its meeting times, please contact any of the student life representatives on each campus or your respective Student Association officer.
