The Business and Technology Division at CSM is focused on preparing you for today’s highly interconnected business environment. Programs are available in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Cybersecurity Technology, Information Technology, Construction Management, Hospitality Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electronics, or Robotics.
The Division of Business and Technology delivers instruction on all campuses and online designed to both meet students' employment-related needs as well as preparing students to transfer to 4-year programs in Business and Computer Science. Career programs, career-related transfer programs, and general education courses as well as related co-curricular and community services are delivered by these academic areas: Business & Economics, Industrial Studies, and Technical Studies/Information Technologies.
Courses and programs are developed in response to current and projected local workforce and community needs. Many programs encourage access by high school students through Career & Technology Education articulation and transfer of graduates to baccalaureate institutions through formal articulation agreements. Stakeholders, including local employers, are involved with program design, monitoring and evaluation. The division focuses on outreach, access and students' success relative to their stated educational goals.
Some of our programs are recognized by national or regional organizations such as our Business Administration degree accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP), our Cybersecurity degree that meets the requirements of the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education Two-Year Education Program (CAD2Y), jointly sponsored by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
