Business, Technology, and Public Service

The Business, Technology, and Public Service Division prepares you for today’s highly interconnected business environment. Programs are available in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Construction Management, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Energy Systems Technology, Homeland Security, Hospitality Management, Information Services Technology, Information Systems, Office Skills, Security Management, and Web Development.

The Business, Technology, and Public Service Division delivers instruction on all campuses and online designed to both meet students' employment-related needs as well as preparing students to transfer to 4-year programs in Business, Computer Science, and Criminal Justice.  Career programs, career-related transfer programs, and general education courses as well as related co-curricular and community services are delivered by these academic areas:  Business, Technology, and Public Service. 

ACBSP AccreditedCourses and programs are developed in response to current and projected local workforce and community needs.  Many programs encourage access by high school students through Career & Technology Education articulation and transfer of graduates to four-year colleges and universities through guaranteed transfer agreements. Stakeholders, including local employers, are involved with program design, monitoring, and evaluation.  The division focuses on outreach, access, and students' success relative to their stated educational goals.

Our Cybersecurity degree that meets the requirements of the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education Two-Year Education Program (CAD2Y), jointly sponsored by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). 

Our Business degree programs in Accounting, Business Administration: Technical Management, and Business Management (Formerly Management Development) are accredited by the  Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP), 11520 W. 119th Street, Overland Park, KS 66213.
