Gifted and Talented and/or Home-schooled Students

Students who are under the age of 16 and who have completed at least the 7th grade may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Students will be considered for such admission if they demonstrate the ability to benefit from instruction based on evidence of gifted and talented status as defined by their local school system or through other evidence of exceptional academic or fine arts talent (Students do not qualify for the Dual Enrollment discounted tuition rate).

  • The first step is to apply to CSM.
  • The second step is to submit the Gifted and Talented Form to your county's Enrollment Coordinator. This form must be completed by someone qualified to attest to your status as gifted and talented.
  • Students may also be required to take a CSM placement test.

Home school students who are 16 years or older may follow the steps to enroll for dual enrollment students.

If you’re older than 16 but do not have a high school equivalency certificate or diploma, contact an Enrollment Coordinator, and you can be considered for provisional acceptance.
