Testing Services

Our Mission

The College of Southern Maryland Testing Centers are dedicated to enhancing student learning by providing comprehensive, accessible, academic and professional testing and assessment services. We adhere to testing standards and practices, safeguard confidentiality of student records, and ensure an optimal testing environment in order to meet the increasing needs of our students, faculty, administrators, and community. The Testing Centers maintain membership and adheres to the National College Testing Association Professional Standards and Guidelines.

Hours

Notice: Testing Centers are now open for both appointments and walk-ins.

Appointments are preferred but not required for CSM course exams, Accuplacer, or ALEKS. If scheduling for one of those three exams and no appointments are available, please walk-in. For all other exams, you must have an appointment.

The ALEKS Assessment 2^ndand higher must be taken on campus or remotely at another college’s Testing Center. To request an ALEKS account click here, ALEKS Math Placement Account Request (jotform.com).

To take Accuplacer (reading and writing) remotely submit a request here, Placement Test Through ProctorU Request (csmd.edu).

Important Notes:

Modified Hours for July 2:
- La Plata Campus: 9 a.m. - 4 p. m.
- Leonardtown Campus: 1 - 5 p.m.
- Prince Frederick Campus: Closed
Closed: July 3 and August 14

General Information

No one is admitted to the Testing Center without proper photo ID.

The photo ID must be physical and current (not expired)
Photos on your phone will not be accepted
Social security cards and birth certificates do not count as identification
Minors and people without IDs can request an ID waiver for placement exams only from the testing centers
