MIDDLE STATES COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION

The College of Southern Maryland (formerly Charles County Community College) is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 1007 North Orange St.  4th Floor, MB #166 Wilmington, DE 19801, www.msche.org/institution/0155/ and the Maryland Higher Education Commission, 16 Francis Street, Annapolis, MD 21401, 410-974-2971.  

The Commission makes available to all institutional constituencies, including the general public, the opportunity to submit comments regarding the CSM’s compliance with standards for accreditation, requirements of affiliation, policies and procedures, and applicable federal regulatory requirements by December 31, 2023.

Medical Laboratory Technology

Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing Program

Physical Therapist Assistant

Accounting, Business Administration, and Business Management

Driver Training

EMS Paramedic

The College of Southern Maryland EMS program is approved by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (653 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD, 21201, 800-762-7157).

The EMS paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (25400 US Highway 19 N, Suite 158, Clearwater, FL 33763, 727-210-2350, www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). 

Health Information Management

The Associate degree in Health Information Management has been reaffirmed through 2028-2029.
