Online Learning (myLearning)

The online learning platform is called myLearning.  All courses use myLearning to post syllabi, take attendance, and post grades. During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, classes are continuing and will move to the myLearning online platform on March 16 through April 30.  Students should log into myLearning to access your courses during this time.

  • If you need assistance with myLearning, send an e-mail to DLF@csmd.edu.
  • For immediate assistance, you can use the myLearning Help button to chat or call a representative 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The button is on the myLearning homepage and on the homepage of each course.
  • For students who would like more information on using the tools in myLearning, we offer the short video course, “myLearning Student Orientation SP2020.”  After you login to myLearning, you will see the “My Courses” list on the right.  Scroll down until you see the “myLearning Student Orientation SP2020,” and click on it to open the course.  If you do not see this course, please e-mail DLF@csmd.edu.
  • If you are experiencing issues with my.CSMD, you can access myLearning through a “back-door” site at mylearning.csmd.edu/d2l/login and login using your my.CSMD username and password.

Zoom Video Conferencing

Zoom is a multi-functional web-based video and telephone conferencing system. The system allows meeting attendees to join via telephone, video, and web. It also allows screen sharing, a white board, and a presentation mode. Zoom conferencing is available to faculty, staff, and students with a my.CSMD account at csmd.zoom.us.

Zoom mobile apps are available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Zoom also has a desktop application, which has been installed on all CSM computers.

  • Students can continue to reach out anonymously for support using the R U OK, Hawks? program.
  • Students newly seeking counseling are encouraged to contact external mental health providers in the community. Due to COVID-19 and the need to create some social distancing, most major insurances in the state of Maryland are allowing therapists outside of CSM to conduct video telehealth sessions. If you currently are receiving state or private health insurance, this option could be available to you, often at no charge or a very small co-pay. Calling the number on the back of your insurance card to locate a provider and accessing the therapist directory on Psychologytoday.com are good places to start.
  • Please visit our website at www.csmd.edu/counseling for more information.
