Real Story: Cornelius Hightower III
CSM Class of 2021, Mechanical Engineering
My Journey: "My journey in Engineering started in 9th grade in the Project Lead the Way program. I started to learn how things work and how I could make them better. I was pretty good at math and science. As I continued through high school my interest in engineering increased and eventually, I decided that I wanted to major in engineering. I like to challenge myself and I love the process more than the product which is a big part of engineering."
Engineering at CSM: "The engineering program has created many opportunities to meet new people and learn how their minds process things. It has helped me raise my team skills and taught me valuable lessons that I will apply to my life in the future. The engineering program has also given me opportunities to help in the community as well as joining multiple clubs."

Impact in the future: "I want my impact to be very beneficial to the next generation. I want the next generation to have more engineers than mine did. I want to create a safer, more efficient future that is withstands for many years."
