Dr. Brent Ferguson is professor of music at the College of Southern Maryland where he teaches private lessons in guitar and classes on the History of Rock, Music in World Cultures, and Music Theory. Dr. Ferguson has trained on the classical guitar under Michael Richter, Matthew Hinsley, and Joseph Williams II. As a classical guitarist, Dr. Ferguson has performed throughout the United States and has an album, Avalon, as part of a guitar-flugelhorn duo, the MIENT Duo. He primarily performs music of Latin America and the United States with a specialty on new works by living composers.
