Emily Creswick Writer's Process Series: Bob Bartlett (Playwright)
Bob Bartlett is a playwright, dramaturge, and long-time professor of theater at Bowie State University.
His plays include Love and Vinyl (Kitchen Dog/Good Records, Dallas, TX; Cadence/Plan 9 Records, Richmond, Virginia; Byrdland Records/Washington, D.C.; KA-CHUNK!! Records/Annapolis, Maryland); three new full-lengths, Mediocre White Men, Writing in Diners, and a boy on a bed; E2 (Rep Stage); Swimming with Whales (1st Stage, Seven Devils); happiness (and other reasons to die) (The Welders); The Accident Bear (Avenue Laundromat); The Regular (Everyman Theatre, Seven Devils); and Lýkos Ánthrōpos and Mary Shelley's Monsters, horror plays recently produced at Washington, D.C.’s Congressional Cemetery.
He is a three-time finalist for the O’Neill Award and received the 2022 University System of Maryland Board of Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Research, Scholarship, or Creative Activity. (bob-bartlett.com)

This is a monthly series for students, staff, faculty, and community members in which we bring local writers to the Writing Center to discuss writing processes. Events occur on the first Tuesday of the month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Writing Center.
