Join us for an introduction to amateur (ham) radio and discover why this hobby has inspired generations of engineers, scientists, emergency responders, and lifelong learners. Explore how amateur radio operators communicate across town, around the world, and even through satellites while developing skills in electronics, digital communications, antenna design, and emergency preparedness. Learn how local volunteers support public events, hospitals, emergency management, and disaster response throughout Southern Maryland. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 7, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Velocity Center (Room 101A). This event is open to all CSM students, faculty, staff, and members of the community who are interested.
