Real Students, Real stories: IN THEIR OWN WORDS

"I like to describe myself as a young African American man who has a great appreciation for art, culture, and knowledge about all topics and diverse ways of life.

My experience at CSM was way better than I could have ever imagined. The people I've met, the knowledge I've acquired, and the lasting friendships I've developed were more than I could have ever asked for. It was always a good time to come to school and talk with my classmates, especially my peers in the Digital Media Production program. I always looked forward to talking about film and television and the processes that went into producing our favorite films and scenes. Some of the memories and experiences that really stood out for me were the times us DMP students sat around in the video editing lab, laughing and joking about all kinds of topics.

Currently I am working for St. Mary's County Public Schools as a video producer and interning as an editor for a YouTube kids’ show called KidsPLACE as the final requirement for my associate degree. After getting my degree, I plan on looking for jobs within the television and film industry as a producer and writer.”
