If you’ll complete your program of study this spring, don’t forget to apply to graduate! Apply to graduate by March 15 if you would like to participate in the May commencement ceremony. If you would prefer to receive your diploma only and not participate in the ceremony, the deadline to apply for graduation is April 15.

The Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) closes Friday, March 10, and we hope you’ll take a moment to share your thoughts with us about your experiences as a CSM student. All students who complete the survey will automatically be entered into a drawing to win one of two pairs of Apple AirPods.

Next week is Spring Break! There won’t be an edition of HawkTalk for the week of March 13; we will resume on March 20 when the college reopens.
There’s still time to register for Spring 2 and pick up an extra class! Spring 2 starts March 20, the first day back after Spring Break. If you need to meet with an advisor, make sure to do it this week, so that you can roll right into the second half of the spring semester.

CSM Theater presents its spring production of HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE March 10-12. A wildly funny, surprising, and devastating tale of survival as seen through the lens of a troubling relationship between a young girl and an older man, HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE is the story of a woman who learns the rules of the road and life from behind the wheel. Calling all hackers: Form a team and register now for CSM’s second annual VelocityX Hackathon, happening March 30-31 at CSM’s Velocity Center in Indian Head and online.
