Attention, new students! Our college is participating in the Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE) and wants to hear from you. The survey is available to students who are new to CSM and enrolled in at least one credit-bearing class. Your responses will be used to improve programs and services for students at the college. To access the survey, please check your CSM email account on Sept. 26 for a message titled “CSM Wants Your Input!” Students who complete the survey by Oct. 20 will have a chance to win one of two pairs of Apple AirPods.

The College Survival Guide is a recurring feature that directs members of the CSM community to free resources and support for whatever challenges they may be facing. At CSM, no hawk has to fly alone.

CSM’s Hawk Pantry is available on the La Plata, Leonardtown, and Prince Frederick Campuses, with a Hawk Feeder micro-pantry on the Regional Hughesville Campus, for students experiencing food insecurity.
Any current CSM student or employee in need can come to any of our three Hawk Pantry locations and receive up to 30 pounds of food per week, at zero cost and with complete confidentiality.

The Makerspace at the CSM Velocity Center is open to CSM students and employees Monday through Friday, with extended evening hours on Thursdays. This 1,984 square foot collaborative workspace is fully equipped with a variety of maker equipment, including 3D printers/scanners, laser cutters, and computer hardware and software for gaming, cybersecurity, design, and robotics. Makerspace membership is free to CSM students and employees!
