CSM Mourns the Loss of Professor Gina Johnson

It is with deep sorrow that we share the tragic news of the loss of CSM communication professor Gina Johnson, who passed away on Oct. 28. There is so much to share about Professor Johnson and the impact she made on the lives of our students and our entire college community, and she will be dearly missed. Please keep her family in your hearts during this incredibly difficult time.

A celebration of Professor Johnson’s life will be held at the Peace Lutheran Church, 401 Smallwood Dr., St. Charles, Md. 20602, on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.

CSM College Survival Guide

The College Survival Guide is a recurring feature that directs members of the CSM community to free resources and support for whatever challenges they may be facing. At CSM, no hawk has to fly alone. 

IT’S OKAY IF YOU’RE NOT FEELING OKAY. Whatever challenges you’re facing, free counseling services are available at CSM to accompany and support you in a wide range of emotional and mental health areas, including grief, depression, and more. If you’re not ready to talk about it yet, “R u ok, Hawks?” is an anonymous tool to connect you with resources to support your mental health.
