In an emergency, no matter how quickly first responders arrive, bystanders will always be first on the scene. An injured person can succumb to blood loss in a matter of minutes, and you may be able to save a life by taking simple actions immediately. “Stop the bleed” kits are located next to the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) cabinets in all college buildings and are marked on the interactive campus maps.

Whether you know it or not, you play a major role in CSM’s cybersecurity efforts to secure our college and our world. Cyberthreats can be scary, and for good reason. October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and we’ll be sharing tips and tools you can use to protect yourself and the college community from cyberattacks. One of the easiest ways to boost your cybersecurity is to always keep software and apps updated. Software and app developers constantly search for holes where cybercriminals could sneak in. The College Survival Guide is a recurring feature that directs members of the CSM community to free resources and support for whatever challenges they may be facing. At CSM, no Hawk has to fly alone.
NOT SURE YOU CAN AFFORD GROCERIES? It’s hard to focus on your studies and your goals when you’re not sure where your next meal is coming from. CSM’s Hawk Pantry is available on all four campuses for students experiencing food insecurity.
Any current CSM student or employee in need can receive up to 30 pounds of food per week, at zero cost and with complete confidentiality.

If you’ll complete your program of study this fall, remember to apply to graduate! The deadline to apply for graduation is Dec. 1. All graduates are invited to walk in the 67th Commencement Ceremony in May, but participation is not required. All diplomas will be mailed directly to students in January.
