CSM Mourns Public Safety Officer Dante Johnson
We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Dante Johnson on June 25, who served our college community with dedication and care as a public safety officer for nearly six years. A familiar and friendly presence across campus, Johnson made it a point to connect with others as someone who brought warmth and humor to his work. His passing is a tremendous loss for the entire CSM community. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Support and resources are available to CSM students and employees through CSM Counseling Services and the college’s Employee Assistance Program. As we grieve, may we engage with one another in kindness and empathy in remembrance.

Summer 7-Week Term II Checklist
Classes start Monday, July 7, for Summer 7-Week Term II. Here are some quick tips and reminders to help you start the term feeling confident and prepared.
✅Rent or buy your textbooks and course materials online from the CSM College Store and pick up in store or have your books shipped to you. Books can also be bought in person at the La Plata location.
✅Check your classes’ course shells in myLearning and peruse the syllabus. Course shells for your classes open seven days before the first day of class.
✅Find assistance and resources through the Hawk Hub. Call, email, or visit an on-campus Hawk Hub location to get your questions answered and receive the help you need for success.
✅Download the CSM Mobile and CSM Safe apps and stay plugged in to what’s going on at campus and in the CSM community.
✅Fine-tune your schedule during the add/drop period. (Meet with an advisor first to make sure it won’t negatively impact your financial aid or veteran benefits!)
