I grew up in upstate New York, but spent much of my adult life in the Southwest U.S.: Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Q&A
In addition to teaching the subject matter of my courses, one of my teaching goals is to instill empathy in my students. I do this by incorporating relevant current events into my instruction and asking students to reflect on their own experiences.
