About 

I am a lifelong learner and educator with 31 years of K-12 teaching experience, including literacy coaching and online teaching. I have also taught TED-2500/2501 for over 18 years in various formats and have worked at the state level to upgrade the courses for 21st-century learners. I am the new coordinator for Dual Enrollment and Early College and work in ST 153B—come visit me!

Educational Background 

I hold an Ed.D. in Education Leadership with a Focus of Study in Online Education from American College of Education. I also earned my Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard Online. I hold a master’s degree and Reading Specialist Certificate from Bowie State University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Susquehanna University.

Q&A

I am an online learner, and embrace technology and 21st-century skills. My online classes are based off of experience and include activities that can be transferred to the classroom. My in-person classes model best practices for engagement and meeting the needs of diverse learners.

I love helping students and teachers grow and learn!

I am a Girl Scout leader and a lifelong Girl Scout.

  • Assisted in the development of Maryland State Standards for Content Literacy.
  • Presented "A Phenomenological Investigation of Blended Learning for Professional Development of K-12 Teachers" at Southwest Educational Research Conference 2019.
  • Published book chapter Digitalization of K-12 Teacher Training: Reforming Professional Development Practices in “Barriers for Teaching 21st Century Competencies and the Impact of Digitalization.”
