About

I have worked as an educator and professional director and actor for more than twenty years in theatres and colleges across the southeastern United States. Since coming to CSM, I've focused on directing work including Murder on the Orient Express, The Prom, Into the Woods, The Glass Menagerie, A Thousand Cranes, Almost Maine, and the regional premier of RENT.  I'm also the advisory for the CSM Thespian Society. I love theatre because it's so inclusive - there's something for everyone!  So come join us.

Educational Background

  • Ph.D. in Theatre History and Performance Studies – University of Maryland, College Park
  • M.A. in Directing – Texas State University
  • B.F.A. in Performance – University of Memphis

Q&A

In the classroom, I share the teaching with my students. We learn through discussion and hands-on activities.

I love puzzles, reading fiction, and being outside as much as possible.

Locally, I have had the pleasure of working with CCPS theatre teachers and students on two All-County Theatre productions, and am a member of the advisory group creating the Theatre CTE program launched at McDonough High School in Charles County.
