CASTING CALL FOR SPRING THEATER PRODUCTION 'HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE'

Students and community members are invited to audition for CSM’s spring theater production of “How I Learned to Drive” on Dec. 12-14. A wildly funny, surprising, and devastating tale of survival as seen through the lens of a troubling relationship between a young girl and an older man, “How I Learned to Drive” is the story of a woman who learns the rules of the road and life from behind the wheel.

A SMART Choice Building

CSM + USMSM = A SMART CHOICE

A CSM electrical/computer engineering class recently went on a tour of the Southern Maryland Autonomous Research and Technology (SMART) Building and the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM) in St. Mary’s County. The SMART Building is home to the Maryland Autonomous Technologies Research Innovation and eXploration (MATRIX) Lab, which features an air-land lab with an amphibious pool, a hydrology lab with circulating water channel, an augmented reality/virtual reality capable research space, a roof-top antenna farm, and an outdoor ground and air vehicle testing site. Visit CSM Transfer Services for more information on engineering programs available through CSM and USMSM.

RITMO CACHÉ LATIN ENSEMBLE CONCERT

On Dec. 16, Ritmo Caché, CSM’s Latin ensemble, presents its fall concert. The concert features several classics of Latin American music in styles such as salsa, bolero, and cha-cha-chá, and modern renditions of Latin pop and jazz.

DONATE TO THE HAWK SUPPLY DRIVE

The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is hosting a Hawk Supply Drive through Dec. 16. Bring your donation to the donation drop boxes on the La Plata (Administration Building), Leonardtown (Building C), and Prince Frederick (Building A) Campuses. Help us take care of our community with contributions of: non-perishable foods; sanitary products; toiletries; blankets; socks; gently used coats/jackets; items for babies/children; gloves; hats; scarves; coloring books and crayons; and gently used books for all ages.
