This Saturday, CSM Presents the Hawkland Gaming Festival!

THIS SATURDAY, CSM PRESENTS THE HAWKLAND GAMING FESTIVAL!

Join fellow board game geeks for CSM’s first Hawkland Gaming Festival on Sept. 23, and let’s celebrate our love of tabletop and board games! Featuring a huge game library, paint-and-take miniatures, events, game demos, open gaming, vendors, and more, all proceeds from Hawkland badge sales will support student scholarships, and admission is free for kids under 12 with a badge-holding adult. Come out, roll the clickety-clackety math rocks, and support student success at CSM!

CSM CONNECTOR BUS SERVICE

New, free public transportation option for CSM students

CSM Connector, operated by VanGo, provides free bus service between the tri-county transportation hub in Charlotte Hall, the Regional Hughesville Campus, and the La Plata Campus.

The CSM Connector bus provides a more convenient way for students using Calvert County Public Transportation (Charlotte Hall Route) or St. Mary’s Transportation System (Charlotte Hall Route) to get to the Regional Hughesville Campus or the La Plata Campus for classes or services.

Hours of operation of this pilot program are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., except on CSM holidays or when campuses are closed.

MAKE, CREATE, AND COLLABORATE AT THE VELOCITY CENTER MAKERSPACE

The Makerspace at the CSM Velocity Center is open to CSM students and employees Monday through Friday, with extended evening hours on Thursdays. This 1,984 square foot collaborative workspace is fully equipped with a variety of maker equipment, including 3D printers/scanners, laser cutters, and computer hardware and software for gaming, cybersecurity, design, and robotics. Makerspace membership is free to CSM students and employees!

NEW TRANSFER AGREEMENT: MUSIC AT ST. MARY’S COLLEGE OF MARYLAND

CSM recently signed a new articulation agreement with St. Mary’s College of Maryland, creating a pathway for music majors to transfer to SMCM to earn their bachelor’s in performing arts with a music concentration.
