REAL STUDENTS, REAL STORIES

Real Stories - John JonesThis week, HawkTalk features CSM grad John Jones '13:

“I’ve done a lot of things, I’ve been a lot of places, and none of it would have been possible if I hadn’t restarted my education at CSM. CSM enabled me to progress financially and improve my family’s financial status. I’m married, with two kids, and we just bought our first house. Code Green Fridays

CODE GREEN FRIDAYS

To shrink our carbon footprint and reduce energy use this summer, the college is continuing Code Green Fridays. From May 17 to July 27, most CSM buildings and services will close at 1:30 p.m. on Fridays and remain closed throughout the weekend except for special events or circumstances. Please note that Code Green does not affect Kids' & Teen College, the Velocity Center, the Center for Transportation Training, or the Center for Trades and Energy Training. Learn more at csmd.edu/CodeGreen.

FINANCIAL AID STARTS WITH FAFSA

Submissions are open for the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), with a streamlined application process and expanded access to federal student aid. Remember that you need to submit a new FAFSA for each academic year. Maryland has extended its state deadline for FAFSA submissions to May 15 for state scholarships, including the Community College Promise Scholarship program. Submit your FAFSA as early as possible for the best opportunity for scholarships and other financial aid. Don’t forget to include CSM’s federal school code: 002064.
