Virtual Registration Assistance Session

Registration Assistance Sessions walk you through how to register for classes identified in your Student Planning account.
Participants should already have access to their my.CSMD account, as well as completion of placement test alternatives.
Topics covered in each session include:
- Setting up student myMail account
- Learning where to find course materials for day one
- Searching for class section times and dates
- Registering for classes that have been scheduled
- Changing course schedule in the future
- How to find financial aid information through Student Planning
- Setting up a payment plan through Student Planning
- Paying for registered classes
- Purchasing books
Benny C. Morgan Concert Series: Hai Jin, Piano
Saturday, January 10, 2 – 4 p.m. Prince Frederick Campus, Building B, Rooms 103/104/105

As an active concert pianist, chamber musician, and orchestral soloist, Dr. Jin has performed over 200 recitals throughout United States and Asia. She has received numerous awards and prizes in competitions including Outstanding Teaching Award at WPTA China-North America International Piano Competition, Liszt competition in the Art of Piano Festival, University of Cincinnati Concerto Competition, Schimmel Piano Competition and Mozart Concerto Competition in China.
She made her United States debut in 2010 upon an invitation of Boston University. She has appeared as a soloist throughout the United States and Asia and has performed as a soloist with numerous Orchestras such as Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association Orchestra, Cincinnati Concert Orchestra, China Conservatory Orchestra, and Shanxi String Chamber Orchestra, etc.

Nursing Recognition Ceremony
Thursday, January 15, 2 – 3 p.m. La Plata Campus, Hank Willoughby Foundation Center for the Arts (FA Building) Brad and Linda Gottfried Theater
CSM will celebrate the newest class of nursing graduates during the Nursing Recognition Ceremony, where they will receive their nursing pins. The pinning ceremony is a nursing tradition symbolizing a graduate’s entry into the professional world and their commitment to those they care for.

Health Careers Readiness Recognition
Thursday, January 15, 6 – 7 p.m. La Plata Campus, Hank Willoughby Foundation Center for the Arts (FA Building) Brad and Linda Gottfried Theater
Students who have chosen to pursue health careers will be celebrated at the Health Career Readiness Recognition. Students will be given pins as a sign of welcome and acceptance into their professions.

If you are a current or retired federal employee preparing for career changes in 2026, you are invited to join us for Private Sector Pivot, a free virtual event designed to help you navigate new opportunities with confidence.
This collaborative program brings together the College of Southern Maryland, the Workforce Division of the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, and the regional chambers of commerce to share practical guidance and resources for individuals interested in moving into the private sector or pursuing government contracting.
During this session you will learn about:
