The Cape May Point Science Center trip is scheduled for May 31, 2026 through June 3, 2026 and offers an engaging, hands-on learning experience for students and faculty interested in coastal ecology and marine science.
The cost of the trip is $650 and includes lodging, meals (excluding meals during travel to and from Cape May), and all planned activities. Participants will take part in a variety of field-based experiences, including a dolphin and whale watching boat tour, a visit to the Cape May Zoo, and a seining activity in partnership with the Littoral Society.
An added highlight this year is the timing of the tides, which will allow participants the unique opportunity to tag horseshoe crabs—an experience that provides valuable insight into coastal conservation efforts and species monitoring.
This trip has consistently been a rewarding and enjoyable experience for past participants, combining scientific exploration with meaningful fieldwork in a dynamic coastal environment. Faculty are encouraged to share this opportunity with students who may be interested in participating.
