Johns Hopkins Hospital Schools of Medical Imaging

At the Johns Hopkins Schools of Medical Imaging, we emphasize hands-on clinical experience along with theoretical training so you can become a leader in your field. Our programs match the Johns Hopkins standards of excellence and expertise and use the latest technology and techniques available.
  • For the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Transfer Worksheet, CSM students must:
    • Graduate with an associate degree before the June start date of the program (Associate of Science in Pre-Professional Health Science: Sonography Concentration is the most efficient degree). 
    • Complete the following pre-requisite courses:
      • BIO-2170 (previously BIO-2070 and BIO-2070L)
      • BIO-2180 (previously BIO-2080 and BIO-2080L)
      • PHY-1110 (previously PHY-1010 and PHY-1010L)
      • MTH-1120 or higher
      • HEA-1105
      • COM-1010 or COM-1650
      • PSY-1010
      • MTH-1015
    • Be 18 years old at the time of matriculation.
    • Be a citizen of the United States of America, or a permanent resident (hold a green card). 
    • Two letters of recommendation using the provided form in the applications:
      • One from a college science or math instructor
      • One from your present employer
    • Statement of intent, in 200 words or less, stating why you are choosing a career in the health care profession and your specific career goals in medical imaging.
    • Transcripts documenting all post high school education. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by one of the agencies in the United States that performs academic credential evaluations.
  • For the Nuclear Medicine Technology Transfer Worksheet, CSM students must:
    • Graduate with an associate degree before the June start date of the program (Associate of Science in Pre-Professional Health Science: General Concentration is the most efficient degree). 
    • Complete the following pre-requisite courses:
      • BIO-2170 (previously BIO-2070 and BIO-2070L)
      • BIO-2180 (previously BIO-2080 and BIO-2080L)
      • PHY-1110 (previously PHY-1010 and PHY-1010L)
      • CHE-1200 and CHE-1200L
      • MTH-1120 or higher
      • HEA-1105
      • COM-1010 or COM-1650
      • ENG-1010

    • Enroll in the Associate of Arts in Arts and Sciences degree at CSM.
    • Complete the necessary coursework outlined in the Radiography Checklist with a C or better.
    • Possess a combined grade point average of all prerequisite coursework of 3.0 or better.

Financial Aid Notice

Please note that since this is a hospital-based program that it does not qualify for financial aid. Students will receive financial aid for the coursework at CSM, but not for the coursework at Johns Hopkins Hospital Schools of Medical Imaging.
