LGBTQ+ Pride Awareness Challenge

Join CSM’s 5-Day LGBTQ+ Pride Awareness Challenge! All this month, engage the lived experiences, perspectives, and concerns of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) people.

Pride Month is celebrated each June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a tipping point in the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. Since the first pride parades in 1970, it has expanded to encompass a month-long series of parades, picnics, parties, workshops, symposia, and concerts.
