Art:
Purpose: Create and appreciate art. Build a community of artists across all CSM campuses. Promote and build awareness of the arts in Southern Maryland.
Business and Accounting:
Purpose: To create an environment that encourages and supports a business mindset, develops an entrepreneurial spirit, and establishes opportunities to develop contacts and relationships in the business and accounting worlds.
COM :
Purpose: COM is committed to fostering a strong, supportive, and inclusive community across CSM campuses. Through our efforts, we aim to: build community by creating connections and cultivating a sense of belonging among students from diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and perspectives; promote civility, acceptance, and inclusion by advocating for a respectful and welcoming environment where every individual feels valued, heard, and accepted; and enhance communication by facilitating civil and effective interpersonal and intercultural dialogue, offering opportunities for students to engage in relationship-building activities and community-building initiatives.
Early College:
Purpose: To promote academic success, student engagement, leadership, and personal growth among Early College students. Through social activities, academic support, mentorship, campus involvement, and leadership opportunities, the organization aims to help students feel connected and confident while making the most of their Early College experience.
Eco-Hawks: Students For Environmental Sustainability:
Purpose: To inform the College of Southern Maryland communities of serious environmental issues on campus and in our community and educate the student body on how to combat them.
Engineering:
Purpose: To connect with other engineers; to explore engineering concepts, projects, and challenges; to do community outreach and engagement; to network with companies about internships and opportunities; to be inclusive of all students interested in engineering; to have FUN; and to fundraise for events, activities, and arising needs.
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship:
Purpose: To establish and advance at the College of Southern Maryland witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture, and God’s purposes in the world.
New Music At CSM:
Purpose: To learn and grow as performers and composers of new music. To develop collaborative strategies for rehearsing new music. To give public performances of new music, including music composed by club members. To develop the skills necessary to be successful independent working musicians.
Nursing Student Association:
Purpose: To organize, represent, and mentor students preparing for initial licensure to practice nursing, and to convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession.
Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC):
Purpose: Connecting student-athletes to the athletic administration at CSM; giving student-athletes a voice within the community of CSM; enabling feedback on issues in the Athletic Department at CSM; building leadership, community, and representation within our student-athletes; organizing community service efforts; and promoting a positive student-athlete image across all CSM campuses.
Sage:
Purpose: To educate, encourage, advocate, and present a visible LGBTQIA+ community on campus that is open to students of all sexualities, gender identities, and allies. The club will also provide a safe community with resources for people who may not be open about their identity to those around and/or close to them.
Student Success:
Purpose: To engage and inspire our international students in their college community by creating a xenial educational environment while also helping students be successful.
Theater:
Purpose: To facilitate a love of theater in the CSM student body; to expand theater experience beyond CSM curriculum and productions for all club members; to support the CSM theater program and productions; and to create a community of supportive and accepting peers.
Turning Point USA at The College of Southern Maryland:
Purpose: To educate students about the importance of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and constitutional rights through innovative campus activism and non-partisan, thought-provoking discussion. This is done with the use of provided academic resources, which includes weekly activism pamphlets, short videos, free-of-charge contributor speeches, and in-person support by TPUSA staff.
Veterans:
Purpose: To establish a community and provide networking opportunities for veterans seeking professional and personal development and personal enrichment; to network and fellowship with veterans; and to support student veterans.
Video Games and Anime:
Purpose: To create a vibrant community where enthusiasts can explore, discuss, and celebrate the rich worlds of video games and anime. We aim to foster a welcoming environment for fans to share their passion, organize engaging events, promote cultural understanding through Japanese media and global gaming, encourage creative expression, and provide a platform for members to network and form lasting friendships.
Voices of Legacy:
Purpose: To create a safe and inclusive space for students to discuss issues related to race and ethnicity; to promote cultural awareness and appreciation within the broader college community; to provide opportunities for leadership and personal development among members; to advocate for the needs and interests of Black students on campus; and to build strong relationships with other student organizations and the college administration.
Women of Excellence:
Purpose: To assist in the development of women of color through engagement in conversations and activities that address self-esteem, academics, leadership training, and social and personal development.
