The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), the state’s historically black 1890 land-grant institution, has its purpose and uniqueness grounded in distinctive learning, discovery and engagement opportunities in the arts and sciences, education, technology, engineering, agriculture, business and health professions.

UMES prepares graduates to address challenges in a global knowledge-based economy, while maintaining its commitment to meeting the workforce and economic development needs of the Eastern Shore, the state, the nation and the world. 

  • For the 2+3 Pharmacy Pathway Articulation Agreement, CSM students must:
    • Succesfully complete the requirements of CSM's Associate of Science degree in Pre-Professional Health Science (Pharmacy Track).
    • Maintain a minimum of 3.5 GPA.
    • Obtain a score of at least 50 on the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT).
    • Have a successful interview
  • For the B.S. in Technology and Engineering Education Articulation Agreement, CSM students must:
    • Graduate from CSM with an Associate of Arts in Teacher Education, Secondary.
    • Complete the admissions application for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore following the third semester of their associate degree program.
  • For the Honors-to-Honors Articulation Agreement, CSM students must:
    • Complete 12 credit hours in honors courses at CSM at the time of the application to UMES and the Richard A. Henson Honors Progam. 
    • Apply to UMES by the published priority deadline.
    • Be admitted to UMES as a degree seeking student
    • Apply to the Richard A. Henson Honors Program by the published deadline.
    • Earned at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA at the time of the application to UMES and the Richard A. Henson Honors Progam.
  • For the 2+3 Pharmacy Pathway Articulation Agreement,
    • UMES will guarantee admission for up to three CSM students annually, provided they meet the requirements mentioned above.
  • For the Honors-to-Honors Articulation Agreement,
    • UMES will offer guaranteed admission to UMES and the Richard A. Henson Honors Program if students meet the criteria above.
    • UMES will offer a financial award to UMES and the Richard A. Henson Honors Program if students meet the criteria above, as determined by student's admission's rubric scores.
