The path to a career in business management, information systems, hospitality management, or office management starts at CSM.

In the Business and Information Systems Pathway, students can choose to pursue an Associate in Applied Sciences, Associate of Science, Associate of Arts, or complete certification in specific skills, depending on their goals. 

An associate in business administration or business management from CSM opens the door to a four-year baccalaureate degree and then to a variety of career opportunities including: accounting, commercial lending, city management, sales management, human resources management, public relations, and advertising. A business degree at CSM will quickly introduce topics like management theory and principles of accounting making your transition to a four-year baccalaureate program seamless.

Students considering a career in the field of business can explore continuing education entry-level career options such as administrative assistant, bookkeeper, tax preparer, or real estate sales agent. Students seeking professional development (and with qualifying work experience) can prepare to earn a certification credential in human resources as a Society for Human Resource Management SHRM-CP or SCP or in project management as a Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP). Students with little to no project management experience can develop project management skills and prepare to earn a certification credential as a PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
