Transfer Preparation

The Arts and Humanities Pathway provides focused certificate and associate degree programs for students intending to transfer to pursue a bachelor’s degree.  

The general studies arts and sciences associate degree and transfer certificate tracks allow CSM students to complete required general education and prerequisite courses here before transferring to a four-year school. 

Starting at CSM and completing your first two years of study at CSM can save you an average of $31,000 on your bachelor’s degree.

Credit for Prior Learning 

Students in the Arts and Humanities Pathway with previous experience can earn college credit for the skills and knowledge they already have. CSM’s Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) offers college credits for previous college-level coursework; national exams like Advanced Placement (AP); work experience; military service and training; certifications and licensures; and more.
